The Celica is an ‘86-’90 model.

They were great little cars. Celicas wer e actually my 1st 2 cars. I have a totally irrational desire to buy one on the cheap & fix it up.

If I could find an 86 Nissan Pulsar NX my 1st car I’d buy it and fix it up. I loved this car.

Those were  awesome cars. Did you have the pieces to convert it from coupe to wagon? Always thought that was a cool gimmick.

Mine was the generation before that, the ugly angular one

86-89.  The lower front air dam plastic would always fall apart.  Held mine together with zip ties.   Loved my 87 GTS . $300 off ebay back in the day + $500 JDM engine from a localish parts importer.

I was just thinking of mine. I had an 86 GT, and bought a broken 87 GTS to replace some parts. Ended up fixing the GTS which was a manual. Lots of fun. I have thoughts of finding one, and have fond memories of it happily revving a hair past redline. But, would rather fix up an all- trac, or later All- trac / JDM UK GT4 we didn’t  get, but fear for parts availability and turbo lag .

But then it was RWD which us FWD folks wish we had.

That Corolla SR5 liftback/hardtop is a rare bird these days, too bad it is so far gone.
